"Beauty in nostalgia" is a personal fine-art photography project that seeks to rescue a deeper form of beauty, far from the transience and superficiality that characterizes the current world. Through artistic nudes and portraiture , this work explores how beauty can be found beyond appearances, in what lies deep within the being.
The photograph "Abraccio interiore" (Inner Embrace) is presented as a timeless portrait of a woman, an image that, thanks to its oval-shaped composition, contains a suspended time, creating an atmosphere of introspection and reconciliation with the self.
¨Abraccio Interiore¨ is not just an image, but a metaphor for the beauty that arises from within, for the transformation that occurs when we are able to embrace both our shadows and our lights. It is a reminder that, even in nostalgia, beauty is always renewed, like a deep hug that reconciles us with ourselves.
The use of chiaroscuro, inspired by the tenebrism of the Baroque era, not only illuminates the figure, but also reflects a struggle between light and darkness that transcends the visual.
Caravaggio, a pioneer of chiaroscuro, transformed painting by giving a new dimension to the contrast between light and shadow. His influence lives on in this photograph, where darkness is not simply the absence of light, but an essential component of the story that each being carries within.
